TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Workshop, Short Course & Classes
By booking any workshop, short course, or class with Alch Cera, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Materials & Equipment
All required materials will be supplied by Alch Cera for the duration of your workshop, short course, or class unless specified elsewise. If you wish to work with additional clay beyond the standard allocation, extra clay may be purchased at the studio.
Alch Cera will fire all final ceramic pieces created during your session. Test pieces, trials, and experimental fragments are excluded from the firing schedule.
Once your work has been fired, you will receive an email notification and or text message. All ceramic pieces must be collected within 2 weeks of this notification. Alch Cera aims to complete firing within 1–3 weeks after the conclusion of your session, though timing may vary according to kiln cycles.
Postage and gift wrapping is an optional extra.
Due to the unpredictable, transformative nature of the firing process, Alch Cera is not responsible for breakages, cracking, warping, or firing-related faults that may occur.
Storage of Work
Any incomplete piece made during a session is not stored at Alch Studio, these will be boxed for you to take home and can brought back for a glazing session and fired if desired.
Moulds created during any workshop, short course, or class must be taken home for storage. Alch Cera will hold moulds for 2 weeks following the Mould Making Workshop; uncollected moulds will be responsibly disposed of. The studio is not liable for any damage to moulds stored on-site.
Cancellation Terms for Students
Please note that there is no refund for any workshop, short course, or class. If you are unable to attend your booked workshop, short course, or class, please notify us as soon as possible via email at hello@alchcera.com.
Please observe the following notice periods:
• 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule your booking to a later date.
Non-attendance without communication within these notice periods will result in forfeiture of the full class fee.
For standalone workshops or classes, you may transfer your booking to another person if you cannot attend — a friend or family member may attend in your place.
For multi-week short courses, a maximum of one session may be rescheduled at no cost.
If additional rescheduling is requested, a fee equal to 50% of one class will apply.
Cancellation Due to Low Enrolment
If a workshop, short course, or class does not reach the minimum required number of participants, Alch Cera reserves the right to cancel or postpone the session.
If this occurs, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered one of the following options:
• Transfer into the next available session
• A credit note equal to the value of your booking
• A full refund, available within 3 months of the original purchase date
Cancellation Due to Illness or Emergency
If the instructor becomes unwell or is unable to teach due to reasonable personal circumstances, we will notify you promptly and reschedule the session.
Photography & Documentation
Alch Cera may photograph or film workshops, short courses, and classes for documentation and promotional use across our website, social media, or educational materials. Images may include your work, your hands, or your face.
If you do not consent to being photographed or filmed, please inform the instructor at the beginning of your session.

All designs, moulds, forms, and processes created by Alch Cera remain the intellectual property of the studio and may not be reproduced, resold, or portrayed as student-owned designs.

Your personal details will remain confidential and will not be shared with any third party.
